5.0-magnitude quake hits Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING, April 25 (Xinhua) -- A 5.0-magnitude earthquake jolted sea area off Taiwan's Hualien County at 2:11 a.m. Thursday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 23.95 degrees north latitude and 122.31 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said.
