TAIPEI, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- The application of artificial intelligence (AI) among Taiwan enterprises is still in a "budding stage," according to a report on the transformation of Taiwan enterprises and their requirements.

Released on Monday by PwC Taiwan, the report shows that the region has not yet widely adopted AI application, with only about 8 percent of enterprises explicitly utilizing the technology, mostly to enhance work efficiency and productivity.

Approximately 92 percent of surveyed enterprises were yet to utilize AI and were still exploring potential entry points for its application. They were also concerned about the effectiveness of AI tools and are still in the process of understanding the benefits AI can bring and how it can be integrated into their operations, the report reveals.

The report is based on comprehensive analysis of the findings of 1,200 quantitative questionnaires.
