A Delegation from the Kinmen Volunteer Group Makes First Visit to Huli District, Xiamen for Exchange

October 16th(Taiwan.cn)—October 14th, 26 volunteers from Kinmen County visited the Minnan-Taiwan Cultural Exchange Center in Huli District, Xiamen. During the tour, they gained insights into the history of cross-strait exchanges.
 
The pictures of Huli's exchanges with Taiwan, historical images related to Taiwan, and cultural relics displayed in the Museum vividly illustrate the profound cultural, economic, and kinship bonds between Huli and Taiwan, while demonstrating the district's concrete measures and tangible outcomes in enhancing integration through connectivity, mutual benefits, and emotional connections.
 
Each photo triggered memories of cross-strait exchanges for the volunteers and left everyone with deep reflections.
 
“WeChat and Alipay are incredibly convenient, car-hailing apps make getting around easy, the Chinese mainland has abundant resources, and many products here are both affordable and of good value.”exclaimed Weng Pinyang, Village Chief of Panshan Village, Jinmen County.
 
“The development of the integrated living circle between Xiamen and Kinmen has brought us great convenience. People can come to Huli to enjoy delicious food and beautiful scenery, and return home in the evening, just like visiting a neighbor.”Kinmen youth Weng Minye said.
 
Over the past few days, the volunteers also visited Xiamen's Sea World, “Yu Jian Minnan”, Wuxin Nursing Home, and other places to gain a detailed understanding of the development of commercial trade, cultural tourism, and elferly care industries in Huli District.
