The “Safety with Heart, Cross-Strait in Step” emergency safety drill was successfully conducted

November 13th(Taiwan.cn)—On November 7, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Wolong District, Nanyang, jointly organized a practical emergency safety drill titled "Safety with Heart, Cross-Strait in Step" in Kongming Community. Collaborating with departments such as fire control, medical services, and emergency management, the event provided comprehensive safety training for Taiwanese compatriots, their relatives, and community residents through immersive and interactive teaching methods.

 

First, fire safety personnel provided a detailed explanation on common household fire hazards, covering fire prevention measures, firefighting methods, and fire evacuation self-rescue techniques. Then, They demonstrated the correct use of fire extinguishers and invited Taiwanese compatriots and their relatives to participate in hands-on practice. Last, Medical professionals then conducted simulated demonstrations of CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. Under the patient guidance of medical staff, several residents actively participated and learned emergency rescue skills through practical exercises.

 

This activity not only strengthened participants’ awareness of safety and prevention but also deepened emotional exchanges between people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. Through the realistic drills, Taiwan compatriots and their families gained practical emergency response skills and felt the community’s warmth and care.
