BEIJING, Oct. 6 -- A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit Taiwan region at 11:52 p.m. Thursday Beijing Time, according to the preliminary measurement by the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 22.78 degrees north latitude and 121.24 degrees east longitude.
