Central London underground stations searched over reports of man with knife

LONDON, Dec. 14 -- The London Underground's Central line was partly closed during the evening rush hours on Wednesday amid reports of a man with a knife, according to British media.

Bank and Liverpool Street stations, which are almost the busiest stops in central London, were searched by British Transport Police. Trains were running with severe delays.

A spokesman said "no trace of the man" after search, but enquires were on-going.
