June 15(Taiwan.cn)—The 18th Straits Forum conference was held in Xiamen, Fujian Province, on June 13. This year's forum continues to focus on expanding people-to-people exchanges and deepening integrated development. Besides the main forum, it features 58 activities across four major categories: grassroots exchanges, youth exchanges, cultural exchanges, and economic exchanges.
Since established in 2009, the Straits Forum has been adhering to the principle that people on both sides of the Taiwan Straits are of one family and the true nature of grassroots exchanges. Gradually, it has become a significant platform for compatriots on both sides of the Strait to communicate, to make friends and to get closer on a spiritual level. Recognized as the largest annual grassroots exchange event across the Taiwan Strait, the Straits Forum has constantly expanded people-to-people exchanges and deepened integrated development in the past 18 years.
