June 29(Taiwan.cn)—The 6th Cross-Strait Sun Yat-sen Forum opened in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province on June 28, drawing around 2,000 participants from all walks of life across the Chinese mainland, the Taiwan region, and the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions.

Coinciding with the 160th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, this year's forum ranks as the largest of its kind to date, featuring the broadest participation of Taiwan compatriots and the highest proportion of young attendees. Under the theme "Carrying Forward Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Spirit of Striving and Jointly Striving for the Great Rejuvenation of the Chinese Nation," the event encompasses nine major activities, including an opening ceremony, sub-forums, exchange tours for high-caliber Taiwanese professionals in the Greater Bay Area, and an archival exhibition titled "Dr. Sun Yat-sen and Taiwan."

Standing at a new historical juncture that links the past and future for cross-Strait relations, this grand gathering is both a heartfelt tribute to the great pioneer and a powerful chorus of compatriots uniting as one on the march toward national rejuvenation. As compatriots from both sides of the Strait gather in the hometown of this great man to discuss cooperation, renew ties, and chart a shared path forward, Dr. Sun Yat-sen's spirit is imbued with renewed vitality for the new era.
