July 17(Taiwan.cn)—Recently, the "Riverside Gathering—Hangzhou-Taiwan Bridge Friendship Tournament" hosted by the Hangzhou Bridge Association kicked off in Binjiang District, Hangzhou. Bridge enthusiasts from Hangzhou and Taiwan gathered along the Qiantang River to compete side by side. Using this intellectual sport as a platform, the event built a warm bridge for in-depth exchanges between young people from Hangzhou and Taiwan.
The two-day competition featured two divisions: the Adult Group and the Junior Group. Inside the venue, competitors from both Hangzhou and Taiwan focused intently and strategized with great care. Throughout the bidding, play, and scoring rounds, they demonstrated outstanding logical thinking and seamless teamwork, fully showcasing the unique competitive charm of bridge.

Warm interactions unfolded away from the bridge tables as well. Rest areas became dedicated spaces for participants to connect. Gathered around tables, players shared training routines and discussed defensive and offensive tactics. A simple bridge table forged heartfelt bonds across the Taiwan Strait. Young people from both sides honed their skills through friendly competition and deepened mutual understanding in casual conversations, transcending geographical barriers and bringing their hearts closer together.
