Aug 7(Taiwan.cn)—To protect the health of Taiwan compatriots, their families, and local residents amid the scorching dog days of summer, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Longting District, Kaifeng City partnered with the Beishudian Community Health Service Center. On August 4, they hosted a public welfare event at Zhuji Lane Square, themed "Deliver Wellness, Offer Cool Relief," bringing quality medical services right to residents' doorsteps. The event also aimed to popularize scientific knowledge on heatstroke prevention and summer health maintenance.

At the venue, a team of medical professionals offered free blood pressure and glucose tests to local Taiwan compatriots, their family members, and community residents. They also conducted basic physical check-ups, provided patient consultations, and answered health-related questions.

The free clinic campaign effectively raised awareness of heatstroke prevention, summer wellness, and common disease prevention among local Taiwan compatriots and their relatives. It also addressed their practical need for convenient access to professional medical consultations nearby.Going forward, the Taiwan Affairs Office of Longting will continue to focus on the urgent needs and concerns of Taiwan compatriots and their families, and regularly carry out various volunteer services that benefit the community. It will further improve its Taiwan-related services with targeted and thoughtful measures, so as to continuously enhance the sense of community and well-being among Taiwan compatriots and their relatives living in the district.
