Taiwan-funded Enterprises and Taiwan Compatriots in Ningbo Offer Timely Assistance to Disaster-Hit Xizang

　　Sep 11(Taiwan.cn)Severe mudslides struck Gyirong County, Shigatse City, Xizang. Responding to the call of the Ningbo Association of Taiwan-funded Enterprises, Taiwan-funded enterprises and Taiwan compatriots in Ningbo extended a helping hand and donated funds to support emergency rescue, disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction in the affected area.

　　As of September 7, ten Taiwan-funded enterprises, including Ningbo Yinpeile Co., Ltd., Ningbo Antuo Industrial Co., Ltd., Yangming Hot Spring Resort and Cixi Yongjin Frozen Food Co., Ltd., together with four Taiwan compatriots, have donated a total of RMB 342,000 to the disaster-stricken area in Xizang. Each donation conveys not only material support, but also the inseparable kinship between compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait who share weal and woe.

　　It is understood that Taiwan-funded enterprises and Taiwan compatriots in Ningbo have shown strong enthusiasm for charitable causes recently. Zhuoxin Connector Co., Ltd. and Pacific Group each donated an ambulance. Mao Jiayu, former chairman of the Taipei Ningbo Association, donated RMB 100,000. Since the beginning of this year, the total value of donations and supplies from Taiwan-funded enterprises and Taiwan compatriots in Ningbo has exceeded RMB 1.1 million, fully demonstrating their sense of responsibility to care for the country and give back to society.
