The Taiwan Affairs Office of Yangquan Organizes Taiwan Compatriots and Their Relatives in Yangquan to Participate in the 4th Shanxi·Yangquan Liu Cixin Hometown Sci-Fi Culture Week

　　Sep 11(Taiwan.cn)—On September 8, the 4th Shanxi·Yangquan Liu Cixin Hometown Sci-Fi Culture Week kicked off. The Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Yangquan City organized representatives of Taiwan compatriots and their relatives based in Yangquan to take part in the event, enabling them to experience firsthand the charm of local sci-fi literature and the achievements of the city’s digital cultural industry.

　　At the venue, the representatives learned about the development history and cultural roots of Yangquan as a “City of Sci-Fi.” They stopped to admire exhibits at the sci-fi art exhibition and the audio gallery for The Three-Body Problem, immersing themselves in the unique charm and imagination of sci-fi culture. In Yangquan’s industrial innovation exhibition area, a host of high-end technological products—including humanoid robots, intelligent drones, and AI-enabled smart application scenarios—were on display, offering visitors a direct glimpse of Yangquan’s strong momentum and fruitful achievements in scientific and technological innovation. Many stepped forward to shake hands and take photos with the humanoid robots at the booth.

　　With sci-fi culture as a bridge, the event created a distinctive platform for Taiwan compatriots and their relatives in Yangquan to learn about and experience the city. It further strengthened the emotional bonds between compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and laid a solid foundation for deepening cross-Strait exchanges and integration across various fields.
