BEIJING -- A 5.5-magnitude quake struck Jianhe county in southwest China's Guizhou province Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The quake hit at 9:47 a.m. at 26.6 degrees north latitude and 108.8 degrees east longitude with a depth of 7.0 kilometers, it said.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
