Chinese mainland ready to send copter to Taiwan for disaster relief

BEIJING, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chinese mainland is ready to send a civilian helicopter to Taiwan to aid disaster relief efforts there, an official said here Wednesday.

Fan Liqing, spokeswoman of the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, told a press conference that the Mi-26 heavy transport helicopter, owned by a private company in the mainland, can fly to Taiwan "at any time".
