KABUL, May 24 -- An Afghan politician and former member of Wolesi Jirga or Lower House of parliament was injured after unknown armed men opened fire on his car in Kabul city Tuesday night, local media reported on Wednesday.
"Unknown armed men opened fire on the car of Najibullah Kabuli, a former member of Wolesi Jirga, on Tuesday night and injured him," Tolo television channel reported in its news bulletin.
Leader of a small political party - Masharikat Millie or National Participation, Kabuli, often advocated tough stance against anti-government militants.
