Oil prices rise as U.S. dollar weakens

NEW YORK -- Oil prices rose Wednesday as the U.S. dollar weakened against other major currencies.

Light, sweet crude for July delivery gained 50 cents to settle at 95.88 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
