WUHAN -- Nine people have been killed after a long-distance bus crashed with a heavy-duty truck in central China's Hubei Province Sunday, local police said.
The bus, which was travelling from the provincial capital of Wuhan to Xiaochang county of Xiaogan city, collided with the truck loaded with sand in Xiaonan district of Xiaogan at about 5:28 p.m.
Several of the 37 passengers aboard the bus were ejected from the broken windows on one side of the vehicle.
Besides the deaths, 11 people were injured in the accident and have been rushed to hospital.
