6.3 magnitude quake hits Xinjiang: CENC

BEIJING - A 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit Hotan in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region at 9:07 am on Friday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 37.6 degrees north latitude and 78.2 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km, according to the CENC.
