BEIJING -- China's top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng on Monday urged entrepreneurs from Taiwan and Hong Kong to contribute to the common development and economic prosperity of the Chinese mainland, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
When meeting business people attending an economic forum held in Beijing, Yu said the reform blueprint adopted at a recently concluded key meeting of the Communist Party of China (CPC) will provide more business opportunities and serve as a strong impetus for economic cooperation between the two sides across the Taiwan Strait.
The decision on "major issues concerning comprehensively deepening reforms" was adopted at the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, which was held in November. It outlines some major reforms for the country in the years to come.
Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the top advisory body, also urged Taiwan and Hong Kong entrepreneurs to contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
