The 2015 Xiamen Industry Expo will open at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center from April 12 to 15.
Businessmen from 20 countries and regions are expected to attend the event. Among them, 300 enterprises from Taiwan will display their latest products and designs in 800 booths.
Both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan face the challenge of economic re-adjustment and industrial upgrading, prompting calls for the expo to make more contributions to fostering cross-Straits industrial promotion, according to Wang Qiongwen, head of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs.
The exhibition will cover an area of 85,000 square meters this year. More than 4,000 exhibition booths will be divided in seven pavilions, including ones for machine tools, automation and surface treatment.
An automation and industrial robot pavilion will be set up for the first time this year. The pavilion has already attracted nearly 100 global enterprises including YAMAHA, ABB and Panasonic, according to Zhang Quan, deputy director of the general office of Xiamen municipal Government.
Industrial giants such as South Korea LS Machinery, a world top manufacturer of injection molding machines, and Fair Friend Group, a leading automation enterprise in Taiwan, have been lured to the event and will showcase their latest products.
The 18-year-old China Xiamen Machinery and Electronics Exhibition (CXMEE) renamed itself as the 2015 Xiamen Industry Exposition this year.
