BEIJING -- Taiwan actress-model Lin Chi-ling appeared on Wednesday, June 26 in Hefei, Anhui Province in the Chinese mainland, to attend a commercial event and answer questions on her career and personal life.
Lin's most recent film, "Switch", tells the story of a treasure hunt centered on an ancient Chinese scroll. However, audiences have unanimously given the film negative reviews. Its score on the popular rating Website Douban.com is only 2.9 out of 10.
Responding to the film's critics, Lin admitted the storyline could have been much better, but she emphasized that each crew member had worked hard to make the film, and so she called for the audiences' understanding.
As for recent rumors about her having found a boyfriend, the 38-year-old star gave an ambiguous answer, saying she is still making efforts.
Lin Chi-ling first gained attention in 2003 as a model. With her physical beauty and sweet voice, she gained popularity quickly. She made her silver-screen debut in John Woo's historical epic "Red Cliff".
