The Liu Sanjie Chorus from the county-level city of Yizhou in Hechi, was invited to perform at a concert held to commemorate Sun Yat-sen in Taiwan on March 12.
To mark the 90th anniversary of the death of Sun Yat-sen on March 12, the Taipei Philharmonic Foundation for Culture and Education invited an all-female chorus group of 18 people from Liu Sanjie Chorus to perform at the commemoration concert.
Sun Yat-sen was the pioneer of modern China?s democratic revolution and the creator of the Three Principles of the People (Nationalism, Democracy and People?s Livelihood). He was instrumental in ending monarchial rule and forming the People?s Republic of China.
All chorus members from the group were local amateur singers. Liao Jincui, a teacher in Yizhou?s Cultural Center, was in charge of conducting the music and giving vocal guidance. Jiang Xiaowen, standing director of the Guangxi Chorus Association, acted as the art director.
