Zhang is the head of the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
Experts and professionals on cross-Strait relations from both the mainland and Taiwan will discuss theories regarding the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations and ways of promoting cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation.
The symposium was organized by the Beijing-based Research Center on Cross-Strait Relations.
