TEHRAN -- Iran's national soccer team will face Oman in a friendly match on May 22 in Muscat, Tehran Times daily reported on Tuesday.
Iran coach Carlos Queiroz had already asked the Iranian football officials to set up two friendlies against Oman and Iraq to gear up for the match against Qatar on June 4 in the 2014 World Cup qualifier, according to the report.
Iran is third with seven points in Group A of 2014 World Cup qualifier. Uzbekistan leads the group with 11 points, followed by South Korea with 10 points.
