AMMAN, Oct. 20 -- The FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup final will take place at the Amman International Stadium on Friday, when the current champions Japan face off against the 2008 tournament winners the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in an all-Asian final.

DPR Korea coach Sin Jong Bok thinks his side are ready to face Japan.

"Japan is one of the top teams but they also have weakness, before we left our country I expected to play with Japan in the final match, which means I studied really hard about the Japanese team before we left our country so we will try to do our best. We are at a strong point mentally, and hope that will allow us to win against Japan," said Sin.

For his part, Japan coach Naoki Kusunose says that his team is well prepared for the final.

"We already prepared for the final, and we are targeting the finals all the time, so our preparation is for this match, and it is good preparation to allow us to win," said Kusunose.

One of the two teams will be crowned FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup champions for the second time. Japan are the current champions from the Costa Rica 2014 tournament and DPR Korea previously won the first edition of the tournament held in 2008 in New Zealand.

Japan and DPR Korea have met once before in the 2010 edition of the tournament when Japan prevailed 2-1 in the semi-finals.

The last time that Japan and DPRK faced each other was less than a year ago, when the Japanese side suffered a 1-0 defeat in the AFC U-16 Women's Championship.
