AAPP Executive Council Meeting Held in Manila

In Manila, Wu Bangguo, who is also president of the Association of Asian Parliaments for Peace, or AAPP, presided over an Executive Council Meeting of the Association on Sunday.
The top Chinese parliamentarian will open the 4th General Assembly of AAPP in the Philippine capital on Monday.
With the theme "Towards A Hundred Years of Peace in Asia," the three-day assembly is expected to issue a "Manila Declaration".
Launched in 1999, the AAPP is the largest regional parliamentary organization in Asia and the most influential platform for dialogue among Asian parliaments and lawmakers.
