BEIJING ? China's export sector is slowly reducing its reliance on traditional markets, trying to boost trade ties with emerging economies.
Trade volumes with traditionally big partners such as the EU, the US and Japan have disappointed during the January to June period, with exports to the EU falling 0.8 percent.
On the other hand, trade with emerging countries such as Russia and South Africa have surged remarkably. In the meantime, China is encountering various trade remedy investigations. Since the start of the year, the country has been involved in 40 trade remedy investigations launched by 18 countries and regions, involving 3.7 billion US dollars.
Some developing countries have also launched anti-dumping investigations against China. So far this year, Brazil has launched 6 anti-dumping investigations against China, while India and Argentina each initiated 4 and 2 probes.
