The Chinese mainland has announced new policies to facilitate exchanges between people on the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. Zhang Zhijun, head of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, announced the new policies today at the 5th Cross-Strait Forum. The forum is being held in Xiamen, in east China?s Fujian Province.
