BEIJING -- Super typhoon Usagi has just touched the southern part of Taiwan.
Strong winds with speeds of more than 200 kiolmeters per hour have been reported. Heavy rains are also expected.
However, Taiwan is set to escape the full fury of the typhoon as it heads westwards towards China.
