ST. PETERSBURG -- Representatives of the Norwegian and Russian Navies on Wednesday signed an agreement at the Russian port of Severomorsk for the joint "Pomor 2013" naval exercise, Russian Defense Ministry released the news on its website.
The Pomor 2013 exercise will consist of anti-terrorism and anti-piracy drills, as well as search and rescue operations, air defense maneuvers and security provision for merchant vessels.
After the completion of the exercises in the Barents and Norwegian Seas, the Russian anti-submarine frigate "Vice-Admiral Kulakov" will make its way to the Norwegian port of Bergen to participate in festivities for Norwegian Constitution Day on May 17.
