HONG KONG -- An earthquake of 5.6 magnitude jolted east of the North Island of New Zealand on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 35.677 degrees south latitude and 178.8103 degrees west longitude.
