CAIRO, June 19 -- Egyptian President Sisi and visiting Abu Dhabi Crown Prince al-Nahyan stressed on Monday the necessity to stop funding terror groups, according to spokesman of Egyptian presidency.
Sisi and al-Nahyan also discussed a number of regional issues as well as the recent developments of several crises in the Middle East, the spokesman said.
"They stressed the need to work jointly to reach solutions to the crises in Arab countries in a way that maintains these countries' territorial integrity," he said.
Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt cut off diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing the Gulf state of supporting terrorism and extremism.
Egypt and Qatar's relations have dramatically deteriorated since the ouster of former Egyptian Islamist-affiliated leader Mohamed Morsi in 2013 in response to mass protests against his one-year rule.
Qatar has been reportedly providing sanctuary and funds to fleeing members of Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood which has been outlawed by Egypt.
