TAIPEI -- Taiwan's unemployment dipped to 3.62 percent in May, marking the lowest level for the month in 15 years, the island's statistics authority said on Monday.
The rate was 0.01 percentage points lower than that seen in April and down 0.23 points year on year, according to the statistics agency.
The unemployment rate was 3.67 percent on average for the first five months, which also hit its lowest level for the same period in15 years.
New jobs for May were mainly created by the service sector, which added 13,000 new jobs for the month, up 0.19 percent from a month earlier. Enditem
