HONG KONG -- Taiwan's share prices closed lower Friday with the weighted index down 11.77 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 9,701.07, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 140.39 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 4.57 billion U.S. dollars).
