Zhang Zhijun, director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of China's State Council, is scheduled to meet with Taiwan's mainland affairs chief Andrew Li-Yan Hsia over the weekend in Kinmen County, located between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. This marks the third official meeting between heads of cross-strait affairs on both sides since the exchange mechanism was established early last year.
Zhang will exchange views with Taiwan's newly appointed mainland affairs chief Andrew Li-Yan Hsia on cross-strait issues and ways to promote development of Kinmen County. Zhang will also hold talks with delegates from all walks of life in Kinmen, for advice to boost cross-strait exchange and cooperation.
